The Palate is Open!
A much anticipated new restaurant has opened in Milford. The Palate restaurant combines craft beers with a fresh to table approach to the menu to offer diners in Milford yet another great choice. Owner/ Manager Joe Hibbert brings a serious dedication to perfection to the restaurant scene in Milford and has taken a slow approach to developing the restaurant, to make sure that he gets it right. And he does!
The Palate opened on opening day for school, September 4th, with a limited menu to allow for a quick shakeout of any remaining start-up issues. If the opening day crowd is any indication,. Joe has little to worry about. The menu focuses on good fresh food and very reasonable prices. And then there is the beer selection – 32 beers, many of them brewed in Michigan craft beers. Of course there are cocktails and wines to choose from, too.
With nothing on the current menu above $8, one can sample a few of the offerings on each visit. An expanded menu will be offered later, but the focus will still be on fresh, local ingredients. It should be a real treat to track the changes to the menu as the seasons change and the chef takes advantage of differing local ingredients. While the warmer weather lasts there is a great patio out back for dining al fresco.
The Palate is sure to add to Milford’s reputation as a destination location for dining. Try it out soon. Reservations are not taken, so get there early and plan on a beer at the bar. Your palate won’t be sorry that you visited our Palate.
