Entrance to the Hicks Chiropractic Office
The Hicks Chiropractic Office as seen from N. Milford Rd.
Hicks Chiropractic PC is run by Dr. Greg Hicks and his wife Joanne, who serves as his office manager. The Milford office at 1203 N. Milford Road is just north of the downtown area in a medical complex that also houses the Sav-More Drug Store. Dr. Hicks also has an office in Livonia at 27620 Five Mile Rd. You can call at 248-714-6127 for either office or visit their web site at www.hickschiroclinic.com. Greg and Joanne have been Milford residents since 1985 and just opened their Milford office this past year. You may already know the Hicks from local school activities, since their children went through the local Huron Valley school system.
In addition to offering chiropractic services, Dr. Hicks is also conducts a nutrition response testing practice in which he can test for nutrition-based allergies or deficiencies and recommend diet changes or supplements to correct the problems. His testing also covers allergies to many other common chemicals, which may help you solve the mystery of why you or a child is always feeling bad or having allergic reactions to things in your environment.
Chiropractic care is one aspect of an overall care and wellness strategy that everyone should consider. There are various traditional medicine practices and alternative practices that can all contribute to one’s overall health. Traditional medicine may be the best choice for some things and alternatives like chiropractic care, physical therapy, massage, acupuncture and others may be best for other health care needs.
Dr. Hicks helps people with a variety of issues that stem from issues with the spine and nervous system, including headaches, migraines, chronic pain, neck pain, shoulder and arm pain and weakness, back pain, ear infections, asthma, allergies, numbness in limbs, athletic injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome and weight loss, to name a few.
As a former skeptic and now a satisfied patient of Dr. Hicks, I can certainly recommend that you give him the opportunity to see if he can help you with your aches, pains or other problems. Dr. Hicks is not going to set a broken arm or cure acne or deal with some of the other issues of disease or infection for which a medical doctor may be required; but he’s also not just going to tell you to take two aspirin and call him the morning if you’re suffering from something that he can work on to fix. He doesn’t just try to give you pain killers to mask out the pain you may be feeling, he finds the reason for it and resolves the issues that are causing it.
Dr. Hicks is running a special promotion for new patients right now, as he builds his Milford practice. For a limited time you get a thorough new patient exam, muscle testing evaluation, X-Rays and a report of his finding; plus, your first adjustment while you are there for $47 (regularly a $330 visit). Many insurances and Medicare cover chiropractic care, so have them check that for you.
Sometimes Dr. Hicks can achieve quite a bit of pain relief in that first visit. He will prescribe a course of treatments to adjust your spine and relieve whatever pressures are on various nerves that are causing or contributing to the issues that you have. Give him a try. You’ll be happy that you did. I know that I am.
