About eight years ago, Brad Krause was preparing to retire and was investigating small businesses that would not only keep him busy after retirement, but could supplement his

income. In addition, he wanted to keep his family involved in the community.

Along with his wife, Rita, a retired school teacher, they purchased the Milford Laundry on Summit Street, located in the shopping mall that houses the Milford Grocery store and

the Milford Cinema, near downtown Milford.

“After 31 years at GM in the business side of things, I was ready for something new,” Krause said. “I don’t fit the typical profile of a laundry owner, but my wife, Rita, who is a

great seamstress, agreed that this was a good fit for our retirement. She taught me how to sew.”

Milford Laundry has served the Milford, Highland, White Lake, and surrounding communities for nearly 30 years, as a clean, friendly and safe place to get your laundry done.

Whether you prefer to do it yourself, or desire full service drop-off, Milford Laundry has four qualified attendants stand ready to assist. The Laundry is open 7 days per week to

serve you.  Four different sized washing machines are available to handle your household items, such as comforters, rugs and other household items, which may not wash well

in your smaller home machine.

For walk-in customers the staff will help you select the right machine to do the job and ensure success at completing your laundry. We have a comfortable waiting area with free

coffee, magazines, vending and an opportunity for lots of good conversation with other patrons. The facility is also equipped with a coin changer, which accommodates a variety

of bill increments. Free WiFi access is another feature of the facility.

Milford Laundry offers 2-minute drop off and pick-up, as well as a customer loyalty program, which provides $5 off for every $50 spent on any drop off. Wash-dry-fold or

wash-dry-hang is available.

The Laundry offers daily or weekly individualized service for our commercial customers in order to meet specific needs for your business.

Recently the Milford Laundry was also equipped to handle drop off horse blanket washing, waterproofing and repairs. For larger horse blanket orders the Laundry offers pick-up
